What am I doing?

Benson doesn't watch much TV but sometimes a Barney can save the day for me...now the real confession: he is currently watching Tele Tubbies. It came on after the Barney and I wasn't in the room so I didn't notice until I heard his hysterical laughter from the kitchen. I have always hated the show but now I can't bring myself to go in there and mess up the magical time I have to e-mail. Wow, I have deviated a lot from the Mother I thought I would be.

I swear your kids will always love the show you least like! But if it doesn't teach them bad things and is not mindless dribble sometimes it is worth a but of "me" time! :)

You are a great mom, even if it is not the way you pictured it!

just think it could be a phase--renee has stuck to her favorites from the begining, but elijah's change monthly for real!

he's currently stuck on max and ruby, but last month it was monsters, inc, and the month before that doodlebops, so you never know!

Yeah, it's crazy how different things can make you reflect back on the mother you thought you would be and the mother that you have become. Time and experience put things in a different perspective. I know you are a great mom. As far as the TV watching goes--you know moms sometimes need a little break too and TV can do just that (especially Teletubbies) :)

Are any of us the moms that we thought we would be? I'm sure not. But I'm still a great mom--just more clued in to what I can expect from mom-life. :)

Besides, don't we all need to embrace our inner teletubby?
