Vacation Hangover

I'm not sure how this can be but somehow I had the best weekend ever while Benson was sick and stuck to my side at all times. I guess I'm thinking about balance and how a change for a weekend can be wonderful but also getting home can be just as needed. 25 hours in the car and significantly less sleep than that later we are home, showered, and ready to have a week or two of quiet.
Here are some things that were fun for the reunion/camping weekend that MUST end now:
--Limited showers
--Staying up late
--Waking up with the sun
--Sleeping with socks on
--Using the double seater out-house
--Not checking e-mail or voice mail, watching TV, or posting on my blog
--Also, I didn't sleep even in the vicinity of Rob for 5 days and believe it or not I missed his loud breathing, which paled in comparison to the noise I had to endure in the cabin.
What do you do on vacation (i.e. camping) that would be completely unacceptable to you in real life?

DID YOU GET TO USE MADDIE"S DOUBLE SEAT OUT HOUSE!!! Or did someone else in the world build one too? In answer to your question I think the dirt that builds up and doesn't leave under my fingernails is what grossed me out during my lastest camping trip.

Well, if you've read my blog lately, you know what kind of fun "experience" we had in the middle of the night in out tent!!

Gross as it may seem, in my family it was ok to burp or fart at any time while camping. ha ha! So craters of the moon here we come.

1. Sleeping with your socks on
2. Eating all kinds of greasy food
3. Letting my kids forgo naps
4. Not making the bed (in hotels)

I haven't seen you forever! You must come and visit while I am all cooped up!

You have such a good attitude about camping. I am not excited for the day when I don't have a young child to use as an excuse to not go!
