The last post mentioned the pizza dough I use. Here is the recipe:
1T. instant yeast
2t. sugar
2T. oil (I use Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
1 cup warm water
1t. salt
3 cups flour (You can use all white or 1/2 white, 1/2 wheat. If you use some wheat add a little extra oil)
Combine yeast with water and stir until dissolved. Add sugar, salt, and oil. (I usually let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy at this point.) Stir in the flour and then more if needed. (The dough will turn out okay with more flour but I think one of the secrets is to leave it fairly sticky at this point.) Knead until elastic. Place in lightly greased bowl and let rise 15-30 minutes.
**I do this all in a mixer. And then roll it out in a generous amount of flour on the countertop. Also, I've found that if I cover it with a wet towel while it rises it stretches much better.
Besides the dough and ingredients the cooking method was part of the success of my last pizza. I used an electric griddle to cook the crust. Yummy!

Good luck with the sinus surgery...do you have a deviated septum? Thanks for posting the pizza dough recipe. I love trying out new recipes.
That sounds so good. A griddle...who knew? I love making pizza and am excited to try a new recipe and also the wet towel trick. The hardest part for me is getting the dough to roll out.
Yum, I can't wait to try this recipe out! Thanks for posting it!
its the perfect dough for pizza. sometimes I add a little garlic powder in to add some more flavor. Your moms cookbook is the one I use the most. I love it! This weekend I made 2 batches of banana bread. Everyone who tries it, loves it!
Alright, I'm really jealous that Nancy has your moms cookbook! :) I asked Kristine for the pizza rolls recipe but I guess she must not have it because she never gave it to me. Do you have it? I've been wanting to make them for months!!
