A fun Easter weekend

Well we had a crazy and fun weekend at our house starting with the arrival of my sister Kristine. She came Thursday night and so we had all Friday to shop and bake for my Birthday (Saturday) and Easter.
Saturday started with two wonderful things: the arrival of a birthday bouquet and an Easter egg hunt. Tulips are my favorite flowers and this bouquet from my Mom has bloomed and brightened all weekend long.

We all headed to the church for the quickest Mormon activity I have ever been to. They split the children into age appropriate groups and set them loose in different rooms. Benson got five eggs and has enjoyed playing with them ever since.
This picture above is also a good before shot of the much needed haircut Benson had on Saturday.

After the massage and wonderful dinner was all over I went to bed exhausted and twenty-six. Yikes. For the first time ever I feel like the age I am is a number that sounds old.

Easter was equally wonderful with the baskets and candy. But again, my AGE and maturity caused me to pick a different moment for my favorite part of the day. I felt so happy that after I finished teaching my CTR 5 class, I could sense that they will remember that it isn’t about all that secular stuff but the resurrection. It went so well and I felt so blessed to be their teacher. They are so cute and smart (and sometimes crazy).
We were all really sad to say good-bye to Kristine. She didn't like me taking her picture with her backpack on but I think it's super cute and a great haircut after shot.

Happy Birthday! Tulips are my all time favorite flower too! We felt bad that we missed the ward egg hunt, but it sounds like it was pretty quick huh?

Hey Happy Birthday on Saturday. 26 isn't that bad. After all, you're still younger than I am! Cute haircut on Benson. Did you do it yourself?

You did a great job on the lesson on Sunday. I think the kids did understand by the end that Easter is about the resurrection of Jesus. You are an amazing person and I am glad that you had a great Birthday.

Looks like you had a great easter. What a fun easter egg hunt in the building! I like your survey, we never even pretended he existed, it has always been mommy doing it.

I am totally with you on loving massages! What a nice idea for a birthday activity! I wonder if I could find a masseuse that would have a bed with a hole big enough for a eight month pregnant body when my b-day comes along. That should be interesting.
