I woke up at four this morning with some pretty strong contraction pain. After about an hour of this I called the doctor. Another hour after that we were at the hospital (the snow storm in the night didn't help our efforts in getting there quickly). Luckily, my cervix wasn't dilating. It was kidney stones, I guess they can irritate the uterus into contracting. If you are like me, or my sister who stopped by before her rounds, kidney stones will make you think of this:
Anyway, I am home now and feeling so much relief. I'm so glad not to be the woman who was next door to me, about to give birth to a too tiny baby. I'm also glad that it happened in a way that made it possible for my husband to be with me the entire time. Whew.

I'm super glad everything is okay!
I have flashblock turned on, so I can't see what a video will look like at all until I click play on it. Before I even hit play, though, I was thinking of this and wondering if that's what it would be. hahaha
Sorry you had kidney stones and that it made you have contractions! Holy scariness! And pain! I'm so glad Rob could be with you through all of it, too, and that it sounds like everything's okay again.
Kidney stone are horrible, especially while pregnant. Okay, I've actually never had them when not pregnant, but during pregnancy it's bad enough! Hope you're well now. :)
Yikes! I'm glad you're feeling better now.
