Nursery Decoration

With five months until my due date it's time for me to start working on the nursery. I want it done quickly because I also have the deadline of my due date to finish my basement. Not to mention the fact that I will soon be huge and have less motivation than now.
So I'm looking for suggestions on wall color/painting a boarder.
This is what it looks like now (minus the junk I've been piling in for the last year).
So, at the very least I need to cover the old boarder...but I'm willing to do more paint if I could think of a color or way to make it work well.
As you can see all the furniture and rug are brown (a medium wood and a darker walnut with red undertones) I know for sure all the bedding will be plain white, including a bedskirt. The curtains are also all white. I've got a combination of a sheer polka dot with a ruffled one. (not shown). On the wall above the crib I plan on spelling out the name with cards I have just like the ones pictured below, similarly on a canvas type thing. On the wall above the changing table I have a little cluster of framed different prints.

So the idea is that it's primarily brown and white with little bits of color on the wall hangings, an new lampshade, and the animal tree. I just don't know what to paint. I've been debating just a white boarder to cover the old one but that seems plain and weird. Help!

I went to HomeFabrics this week and they have TONS of cute fabric, one that sticks out in my mind has more neutral colors like buttercream yellow, a medium orange, and a pale red in paisley. I think that would look cute with what you already described in small accents (such as on a pillow on the chair or tie backs for the curtains) You should go look there for some inspiration on colors. If you need help, I would love to come help paint or whatever you need. Sounds like fun!
