House tour

I've been asked by out of town friends to see pictures of my house. I also promised my Mother pictures of Benson's bedroom. I'm never "done" with a decorating project so I never post about it. I need to learn to show and post when I'm mostly done because after I get to that point the rest really lingers. I've decided I'll make the goal of sharing one room a week for the next month or two, starting with the big boy room. So judge not. This is an "as is" tour. Enjoy and maybe get ideas.

{I'm still looking for a curtain solution I'm happy with so for now there is the black out shade.}
This high book shelf with flag garland turned out almost 100% how I imagined (which never happens for me). I may still put some red star something along with the flags. I don't know.
I've already spoken about the magnetic paint square in a previous post. It's not perfect but we're working on making some more cool magnets and I'd still like to frame it with some molding.
I put this one so you could see the rest of the room. Not much, just the closet and a really cool print that still needs a frame. It came from my Mom's old stuff at her parents house. I think the boy looks a bit like Benson. It's hard to see here, but the colors match the room and he's reading a book so it's really the tie together for it all.

Good job Kim! When you were talking about it today I wanted to invite myself up to see it, but then I realized I would have to take my sunglasses off and since I wasn't wearing any makeup I decided to spare you. I do want to see it in person sometime though :)

Great room. The blue banner is adorable. You are so creative. I can't wait to see the rest of your house pictures! Oh the anticipation...

You've been busy. All that homemade crafty stuff is amazing. Yeah, I for sure need you living around Vegas these days. I am in the middle of J&A's room. I am horrible at making up my mind and getting things done...also in taking pictures of the work in progress. This weekend I am working on the cutest or most handsome sports quilt ever. Really the lack of balls and sports make it cute. Anyway, when finished I will post a picture. I am excited to see the rest of your house.

I hadn't seen that room yet, shame on me! It's way cute...good job on the flag garland. I think you're more creative that you give yourself credit for.
