Day 3

Contrary to the forcast, today looks sunny. Yesterday, we had a nice break from each other during most of the rain while Benson spent some time with his Grandparents (whose house and greenhouse and shop are a toddler's dream). Today, well you can zoom the picture and see what we're doing for yourself. This is a project from Day one to help us plan together what to do with all our no TV time. Our schedule is on the *magnetic wall in his room but the fridge would also work, probably better. I was thinking this might be good for families with older kids too (i.e. 4-5). Everyone knows what will happen when, and the child can help pick the activities for the day. We still need to make more magnets like: read, art, and a few others as we go.
*Do not use magnetic paint! It is a big disaster. Great idea, but NOT worth the trouble. Besides this it isn't as magnetic as I'd like.

LOL that makes me laugh as I did 2 "magnetic" walls in my basement and I agree on the not as magnetic as you would like but I have many ideas to improve the process if I ever do it again (probably won't since you can just buy a thin sheet of metal and screw it to the wall instead), We made Kiri up a work list similar to your list and I put stickers on them so she knows which ones she has to do before she can play, meka's is all pictures of what she has to do! I love magnets!!!!

That is a cute idea. I am bummed about the magnetic paint. It sounds so cute. Thanks for the tip about it!

That's a really good idea cause it lets them feel like they have some control about how their day goes. I'm impressed. How did you get the magnets personalized?
