Fun Day!

I just love getting something new that you've been anticipating for a long time and even better is getting it delivered ahead of schedule. My new imac came today and I'm so pumped!

That is always exciting to get something ahead of when you were expecting it. You'll have to keep us posted on how you like the iMac.

WooHOo!! We have a new iMac too- well we got it in June I think. We love it and will never have a PC as a family computer again, although we are currently waiting for our new PC laptop to arrive (Nik needs PC for grad school, much to our dismay). Did you have an iMac before?

This is our first Mac experience (minus a class I took in college). So far I'm loving it.

yeay! That's so cool! Jason and I have sworn that our next computer purchase will be a Mac. Microsoft can be such a pain in the...sometimes. You'll have to let me know how you like it. Maybe I can come over and take a test drive sometime. It's been a while since I've been over...let's get together soon, ok?

Ah, so you're a Mac girl, now? You'll have to keep us posted on how you like it!

J tried a Mac laptop at work (actually a couple because they kept breaking) and it just didn't last as long as his trusty (used) Intel Thinkpad has. But I'm sure a Windows Thinkpad would be a completly different story. And I think laptop and PC computers are maybe not good to compare like that, either. And I guess desktop Macs are also not typically referred to as PCs. . . so I guess I should say it doesn't work to compare laptops and desktop computers. . .whatever. Ubuntu's awesome, though. I've liked it best of the three OSes I've got some experience with (actually 4, if you count J's old Debian distro, but I didn't use it very much). Anyway, Ubuntu's very user-friendly and so far has been a lot easier for J to work with when he's updating and fixing things. . . I should really keep up with that more than I do!

Anyway, that thing looks awesome! No cords or anything, right? Is it a touchscreen? There's got to be at least a keyboard, though, isn't there??

If it is a touchscreen I highly recommend not letting any peanut buttery fingers touch it. I know for a fact that breaks touch screens. . . like *irreparably* breaks them.
